Giving a donation in lieu of birthday, wedding,
or anniversary presents is a personal way to help the work of the
Myositis Support Group and celebrate your special occasion.
Rather than receiving gifts why not ask family
and friends to donate to the Myositis Support Group?
You
can create an online donations page for your celebration on our
Just
Giving site. Your family and friends can make their donations
through this secure server. Setting up a page will take about 10
minutes and is very easy to do with step by step instructions. On
your page you can write as much or as little as you wish, upload
a photograph, and send automatic thank you notes. A donations page
in celebration is a unique, personal and fun way to raise money.
Alternatively, cheques in pounds sterling made
payable to the Myositis Support Group are welcomed by post.
All correspondence should be made to; Myositis
Support Group, 146 Newtown Road, Woolston, Southampton, Hampshire,
SO19 9HR.
We can provide donation forms with Gift Aid declaration
for you to include with your invitations.
All monies received will be mentioned in our
Newsletter so please feel free to write about your day and send
us a photograph to include.
If you have any questions about donating in celebration
please contact us.
| Make your donation worth
almost a third more at no extra cost to you If
you are a UK taxpayer and you instruct us, we can reclaim
the tax you’ve paid on your donation and your donation
will be worth more to the Myositis Support Group.
For every £1 you donate we can reclaim
can extra 28p
A £10 donation once the tax is reclaimed is worth £12.80
A £20 donation once the tax is reclaimed is worth £32
A £50 donation once the tax is reclaimed is worth £64
For us to do this you must declare that
you wish for your donation to be reclaimed under the Gift
Aid scheme.
If you are donating on either of our secure online servers
there is a box for you to tick.
If you are sending a donation by cheque or returning a Standing
Order Mandate form please print out, complete
and return the Gift Aid declaration form.
The additional money is reclaimed from
the Inland Revenue and does not cost you anymore than the
original donation you made. For your donation to be processed
under the Gift Aid scheme you must pay an amount of income
tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax we will
reclaim on your donation (28p for every £1 you give)
in that tax year.
