To show support for Rare Disease Day and raise awareness of Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis and, Juvenile Dermatomyositis, Myositis UK has enlisted as a Friend and will be attending an awareness event hosted by Rare Disease UK at the House of Commons. We're encouraging our members to become involved (with our social media) and participate in the Raise Your Hands movement to show solidarity, it's simple to do.

The Rare Disease Day website has facilities to upload your photo, event and story, participate in online events and useful downloads.

Please consider using the logos and banners available with your social media to help spread awareness.

Raise Your Hands
"Whether you are with your family at home, 10 people in an office, 100 people at a conference or 1000 people at a public gathering: RAISE AND JOIN HANDS to show your solidarity with rare disease patients around the world! Help us show we are all mobilised for people living with rare diseases and driven by the same objectives.

This symbolic gesture can be done before the Day or part of the activities you have already planned on the Day."

Record the event with a photo and upload on the Rare Disease Day website, remembering to specify the location and the country where the photo was taken.
